Izzy's Attic

Recently I bought this adorable lacy Petite Romper and matching headband from Izzy's Attic at Etsy for Serenity.

It's totally adorable and fun to wear for photos!

Izzy's Attic has several colors to choose from: aqua, yellow, light pink, fushia, and black.

They also offer baby, little girl and big girl sizes.

The quality Izzy's Attic's work is excellent, prices are very competitive, customer service is the best and shipping was super fast.

You can't ask for better than that!

Izzy's Attic also offers adorable matching headbands for all their lacy Petite Rompers!

And don't forget to check out their Halloween costumes!

You can find Izzy's Attic on Facebook too!

Have fun!

New Etsy Stores to Discover!

I'd like to share a couple of great Etsy stores I've found over the last few months.

I found the first store through Choosy Chu. Choosy Chu is a wonderful collection of clothes, toys, shoes, and more that was discovered all over the web by courtneycourtney!

I've managed to nab a few pretty outfits for Serenity by following Choosy Chu on Facebook!

Serenity's adorable ruffle leggings came from tag you "r" it! I first discovered it on Choosy Chu. Tari's lovely creations are made from completely up-cycled and salvaged materials. She's an excellent seller, offers customs, and ships super fast! I plan to buy more ruffled leggings (and Sam Pants) from her in the future!

The second store I found at the beginning of Summer while looking through the children's clothes section on Etsy.

Am I the only one who can look for hours at all the beautiful clothes?!

reCollection Clothing also uses up-cycled and salvaged textiles and trims to create some very unique OOAK pieces. Serenity's A-line rooster dress was made from a vintage tea towel, trims, and cotton prints from the 1960's!

Both pieces are extremely well-made and will last for years and years!

I think it's great how these two pieces came together so wonderfully. I bought them months apart, and from ladies who live on opposites sides of the US!

Don't you just love the internet?!

Have fun!

Treasures for Tots Etsy Store

I just finished adding a few clippies and a pretty Jelly Roll skirt to my Treasures for Tots Etsy store!

For the next few weeks I'll be adding more items to my store. I'm trying to make sure all my items are pre-made before listing so shipping times will be fast. That also means I won't always make the exact same clippie.

Most of the clippies I sell will be in sold in mismatched set of two. But I do have some big pretty crochet flowers that are perfect for all kinds of outfits - including attaching to hats or headbands!

I've put a Jelly Roll skirt in my store too, but soon I hope I'll have more - including different styles!

I plan to list a few more tutus again soon!

Have fun!

Who Dat?

The Saints are 11-0 baby!
And that's about all I know about football - if the Saints are winning or not.
Oh wait! I know that Drew Brees is on the team and he's a Quarterback.
I know
that because I bought a Brees jersey for my cousin last year for Christmas - she told me!

This year the Saints are playing the best they ever have and everyone down here is so siked up!
My husband watches every week, of course - I don't 'cause I think it's
bor-ing!
Sorry I can't help it, but I am really proud that they are doing so great - isn't that weird?!

Soooo... anywho,

Serenity has a darling little Saints cheerleader outfit she got last year and I wanted her to have a bracelet to match - especially when I saw the custom made cheerleader beads over at threemoonbabies!

~This shot is from last year - I need to get a 2009
one!~

BTW, do you see her toes hanging off the front of her shoes?
I swear she jumped from a size 4 to a size 6 overnight!
One day these shoes fit her and the next - her toes are hanging.
I didn't even notice until I was looking at the pictures on the computer later that day.
Is that funny or what?!
Believe it or not, but she still fits most size 6's.
I'm going to cry a river when she outgrows all her pretty shoes I've collected for her this past year!

and we're back...

Naturally, the main focus of the bracelet is the sweet little Saints cheerleader bead from
threemoonbabies.
I sent Marjorie a picture of Serenity wearing her Saints cheerleader outfit, and she created a pretty bead that looks just like her!
The bead has a bow in it's hair like Serenity's too!

Aww sha - how sweet is dat?!

I also used sterling silver findings and Swarovski topaz crystals and white pearls I bought from Firemoutain Gems and Beads years ago.
I can't remember what kind beads the black ones are - but they have a very nice solid, uniform color.

When I get a newer picture of Serenity wearing her Saints bracelet and cheerleader outfit, I'll post it here!

POST-IT-NOTE: It snowed here last night!! Uh, yea - you read that right! It was very light, and it melted as soon as it touched the ground - but it was most definitely snow! Is that crazy or what?!

Happy Holidays!

Princess Tiana Bracelet

I made these Princess Tiana bracelets for Serenity and her BFF, Cobee Lynn today.
Once upon a time, I used to make children's bracelets, but I stopped because I wasn't selling all that many - there is so much competition out there!
{sigh}
Anyways, it's been a few years since I've made one, but I'm really satisfied with how these turned out.

Time to make more?
Hmmm...

Aren't the Princess Tiana beads and the little frogs the sweetest?! I custom ordered them from threemoonbabies over at Etsy.
Marjorie is an awesome artist and this is the second order I've made with her - and I plan to make more!
My first order was this pretty castle switch plate for Serenity's room.

I also custom ordered a pretty Saints cheerleader bead with my Princess Tiana order too.
You can see a picture of it on threemoonbabies Flickr photostream here.
I plan to make another bracelet for Serenity with it.
While you're at Flickr, check out Marjorie's other beads and creations!

You can custom order a cheerleader bead for your little one over at her Etsy store too.
Marjorie welcomes custom orders and her customer service is the best!
She's so helpful and affordable!

Don't forget to have a look at threemoonbabies' blog too!
Right now she has a post up with some of her cool beads on necklaces - her pretty little Darling Stinker is modeling them - awww!!

SIX more days until The Princess and the Frog hits the theaters!!

Happy Holidays!

My Etsy Store!

I've just listed my very first item in my new Etsy store: Treasures for Tots! It's the Ariel tutu! My store is very bare, but in the next few days, I'll upload more tutus and maybe some embroidered felt clips.

I think maybe I need to get some pictures of Serenity wearing the tutu outside, but I just decided to go ahead and list the item tonight. So tomorrow is picture taking time baby!

Stay tuned!

UPDATED:
Added more stuff to my shop! I updated the picture of Serenity wearing the Ariel tutu too!

Go have a gander at my store: Treasures for Tots!

It's still a bit bare - but I'm working on it!
Thanks for looking!

Have fun!
