NO-SEW Felt Cheese & Spinach Ravioli

Have you seen the last few felt foods I've done?
I've grown extremely fond of my glue gun!
Sewing felt food will produce very pretty results - Google felt food and see all the yummy foods that pop up!
Some of it looks real enough to eat!

But I realize that most people are too busy to sit down and sew felt food - it can be very time consuming.
So lately, I've been doing it the easy way - the quickest way!

Hello hot glue!

I think the felt food that I've hot glued looks just as nice as felt food that's been sewn!
Whatcha' think?

Materials needed:
(makes 24)
12 2"x2" green felt squares
12 2"x2" yellow felt squares
6 cotton balls
glue gun & glue
pinking shears

Cut each cotton ball into 4 pieces - roll them around in your hand to form a ball.
Squeeze a square of hot glue on a piece of felt - make thin lines.
Place a cotton ball in the center.
Refer to the picture:

Place another piece of felt on top and run your fingertips over the glue until it has set.
Running your fingertips over the glue will help to form the "filling".
{Try putting a yellow and green square together - instead of the same color!}
Pink around the edges.

All done!
Easy!
You can see how I made the tin in the picture by going here.
But I want to make this adorable Ravioli container!

POST-IT-NOTE: In case y'all were wondering, I used eco-fi felt! You can get it at Wal-Mart for less than 35¢ a piece - and I used two pieces of 9"w x 12"l felt.

Total cost: Less than 75¢!

More felt foods I've made:
Pop-Tarts
Felt Bow-Tie Pasta
Felt Agnolotti Pasta
Felt Tortelloni Pasta and Tin
Felt Valentine's Day Fortune Cookies
Felt Eggplant Spinach & Tomato Lasagna

I hope y'all like this latest felt-food addition!

POST-IT-NOTE 2: I would like to give a HUGE thank you to One Pretty Thing for linking this post!

And don't forget to head over to Helping Little Hands to find more felt food links and follow along with her as she makes a delicious felt pizza!!
Today she's making sliced onions!

Have fun!

  1. These look great, Angie! In some cases I think the hot glued ones look even more realistic since they don't have the seams showing...certainly the case the these raviolis! Thanks for linking.

  10. Yeah for hot glue! I always think of making felt food, but I don't want to get out the machine for it, and hand sewing is so time consuming, thanks for reminding me about my handy little gun!
